Upcoming Events

Troop One is part of the long standing tradition of Scouting in Piedmont. Based on Baden-Powell's principles set almost 100 years ago, scouting in Troop One combines the bedrock principles of tradition, training, and teamwork with a modern day understanding of personal development in 21st century conditions.

Troop One meets weekly for one hour at 7:30pm on Tuesdays during the school year. We meet at the Piedmont Community Church (in the Kettleman Room, at the top of the main staircase leading from the street to the church).

We go on outings at least once a month. Some of the favorite trips are going to the sand dunes for a weekend at Dillon Beach to ride down the football field sized edges, going to Yosemite for Veterans Day Weekend, and going snow camping to sleep in snow caves for a weekend. We also have summer trips, which include a 50 mile back packing trip in the Sierras, summer camp, and Brownsea (leadership training to be a patrol leader in the troop). Troop One loves the Camporee and has consistently recognized as the #1 troop in the past four years.
